Microsoft IT wanted to test the scalability and performance of Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services. Microsoft were so impressed with the fact that their own product worked that the pilot project was rolled into the production environment at Microsoft IT. this environment acts as an SSL-based remote access solution.

Windows XP Service Pack 3

Microsoft have released a beta version of its Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3).

By the time a full version of the update arrives, expected in the first half of 2008, it will have been nearly four years since Windows XP SP2 was made available for download.

What's up with sequencing to 8.3 root?

So, why do we sequence application to Q:\8.3? That's a question that usually raises a lot of discussion. Most applications seem te work fine, even when installed to their default %Program Files% folder. Luckily the SoftGrid team blog wrote an article that explaines it all.
